Feeding and Nutrition :: Turtle Pellets

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have a question about turtle pellets. I feed my turtle Reptomin turtle Pellets. The directions says as much as they can eat in 2-3minutes, but my turtle can eat up to 20 and even more during that time. I'm not sure if that is a lot or not. I'm also not starving my turtle so I'm sure he's not hungry. I leave lettuce in my tank for my turtle to eat, and he loves them, but once I decide to start feeding him the pellets, he starts to eat a bunch even after he has eaten a lot of the veggies beforehand. Basically to sum up my question is 20 pellets a lot more a 4 inch turtle. Should I feed him less or more? Please leave me any suggestions. Thanks! :D

The guideline is to feed them an amount of pellets equal to the size of their head...

Definitely read the entire page and when in doubt, give them less.
