Feeding and Nutrition :: Help....My turttle is eating the floating island!

Hi everyone!
So i got home today from work and i fed my turttle as i usually do. One hour later, my daughter found her eating the bottom (soft, but not really) part of the floating island.....ANy suggestions? I dont want my turttle to get sick of course and i dont want to give her more pellets because i dont want to over feed her...

Get a different kind of basking area for her. How big is the tank?

It's a 10 gallon tank

how big is your turtle?

you can switch out your basking area for something different like cork bark or plexiglass, and you can add a calcium source to the tank for the turtle to munch on. I believe pet stores sell calcium blocks in the bird sections, just make sure and remove any rough backing.
