Feeding and Nutrition :: Romaine Lettuce- yes or no?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

A while back I had invested in some collard greens which apparently aren't that good for your RES even though they seem to love them. I switched to red leaf lettuce, which Touche loves, has never been a fan of green leaf.

I want to start buying in bulk because she goes through it so quickly, but I don't think my Costco carries anything but Romaine. My questions are- Is Romaine good as a staple diet? -and- Does your Res like romaine?

My RES like romaine and red leaf. How much is your RES getting?

I give her about 4-5 leaves of red leaf most days (which she goes through quickly), then like 2-3 days a week I feed her 2 leaves of red lettuce and her head-size worth of Adult formula Zoomed pellets.

Which means that she goes through at least a small head of red leaf lettuce in like 3 days. You think that's too much maybe?

She's about 8inches in length these days.

It might be a little too much. How is her stool?

Pretty regular, not too soft, and she usually has a bowel movement the same time of day- right after I feed her.
