Feeding and Nutrition :: not growing :x

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Hi! I've been very worried about my babies.. They are about 9-10 months old and are still just about the same size as when we got them as hatchlings, give or take half an inch or so. I give them each 3-4 pellets, alternating with 1 pellet and a piece of lettuce every other day and cuttlebone every Sunday. Is this too little to be feeding them? :?

Yes that's to little. Not around until around 3 inches should you be cutting down on the pellet amount during any of the days. Feed the pellets and the lettuce.

Okay, so should I do 4 pellets every day, and lettuce every other maybe?

If it's small, feed it about 5 pellets a day with lettuce and the next day nothing then again the day after. That's what my friend does. He has two albino babies.
Instead of 5 pellets I would do 4 and lettuce the same time.

EDIT: "2 or 3 times a day and then while he gets older feed him 1 or 2 times a day."

Feeding a turtle 2-3 times a day is far to much. They only need to fed once a day. Your friend is gonna grow out his res far to fast.

Just feed your turtle around 6 pellets every day and lettuce when you want until he hits 3 inches. Then cut back and follow the head rule and feed pellets every other day
