Feeding and Nutrition :: Veggy fustration

Iv'e done everything suggested to try and get my turtle to eat any form of veggy.
Ive tried almost every suggested veggy for a turtle with no luck.
I'm using a veggy clip and only thing that eats the veggies from the clip are my snails.
Ive made jello shots and he chews them then spits them out.
Ive cut them small enough that he could just swallow whole and still spits them out.
Ive starved him for 2-3 days then tried again with same results.
He has started to pyramid due to he will only eat live things and turtle pellets.
I may have been overfeeding at the start but now Im trying to get him off pellets almost completetly but he wont eat anything else.

What to do now?

alright i just thought of 1 more idea.

I poured tuna juice into a cup and placed green leaf lettuce stems in the juice and ill let it sit for a day our 2.

The lettuce should start drinking the tuna juice and absorb its smell and taste thus intriguing the turtle to eat it...

A little outside the box thinking but just maybe it will work!

Bell pepper is not a good staple for a res. How old is your turtle?

Idk he was the average age your see turtle in a pet store and I've had him for about 2 months.
He doesn't look like a baby turtle anymore he's grow fast but that cause I was over feeding him pellets as I've learned from this site.
If he will only eat pellets how many a day should I feed till I can get him on something else?
I was feeding 5-7 pellets x2 a day which now I know is way to much. He's about 2.5ins.

Should I feed him a full head size every couple of days or 3 sticks a day.
Getting feeding right is so frustrating with turtles.
So many different opinions and suggestions for proper amount of food.

I have nutrafin pellets atm but gonna try to find mazuri or jurassi food. And possible the koi wheat germ food and alternate pellets. His shell shows minor pyramiding so hoping a good shedding will help correct it.

I'm not saying you can't feed red pepper once in a while. As far as pellets, there is still some debate about how much. I feed my young ones 3-4 calcium coated omega one pellets a day. I also feed them frozen krill "small shrimp" about 2x a week. On those days they get no pellets. Keep offering lettuce daily. I think my res started eating lettuce and carrots when it was close to a year old. Your right if you ask 10 people how much and how often you will get 10 different answers.

mine loves dandelions! not the spiny-pointing kind but the soft-leafy ones. dandelions are super high in all kinds of vitamins and nutrients, plus lots of calcium. I've even statred my own dandelion farm. The pics show the worst kind, the ok kind and the best kind. the softer the leaf the better! and NO spikes!

mine also likes a piece of red lettuce from the grocery store, in all likelihood they will just let you have it

I take any/all of Thor's veggies and rubberband tie them to a stainles steel bolt and sink them in Thor's tank, and then walk away. I think eating under water feels more natural and protected to him

ya im still trying to find dandelion leaves at grocery store. I used to buy them for one of my lizards but now cant find anywhere
Probably the only thing I havent tried

I have no problem finding in my yard or throughout the neighborhood, just get ones you know have not been sprayed.

heck, I'm even growing dandelions in my own in pots
