Hey,
I have an Anachris farm going. It is fairly straight forward. I bought some bunches form the pet store and picked up a separate tank combo package I bought for 25 or 30 bucks. Came with a filter, heater and a worthless light. Fill with water. Plug in filter. Toss in a few small fish (optional but looks cool with all that anachris) and watch. I have mine on my deck. It gets a few hours of direct unfiltered sunlight. I get about 1inch of growth per week.

correct. I don't know how to grow them from seeds. I just use parts of an original plant. You can take one 12" piece and with a sharp knife make it in to 3 or 4 pieces. Then after a few days you should see sprouts starting.

Actually, I think fish in the tank provide food for the plants (fertilizer), which is a good thing.

And CO2 which the plants need for photosynthesis too.

Hopefully it will grow
Also i put my guppies in there because my turtles didnt eat them, so now they can breed
