when i come to the turtle tank my turtles start swimming toward the side of the tank im on is that begging? i usually just feed them a few pellets each. I usually feed them once in the morning. I can also dangle a bigger pellet of food over the water and they will grab it from my fingers. I just think that is cool

Yes, they are probably begging. Turtles are really good at that. My girl occasionally makes me question whether or not I fed her. It's a true talent.

I had to put myself on a strict schedule with feeding, my turtle is very convincing as well. I always have a fresh piece of lettuce clipped in his tank, and he usually chomps away at it after about 20 minutes of frantic begging.

My turtle is so agitated when I come around that I fear he will jump out of the tank.
He learned how to take revenge on me for not giving in to his wants.
Shortly before midnight when I want to go to bed it jumps off dock and acts crazy - splashing water and bumping against the dock. The same in the morning - 6am and I'm already woken up by the noise.
Naughty.

My Seri does that too. Its gotten so bad that now she's bitting the measuring spoon that I use to scoop her food out. It makes me so guilty like Im not feeding her enough.

Yeah I do sometimes. I did jello shots and it only worked for maybe one serving. I ended up throwing out a whole batch. The pellet mix I use now has worms shrimp and cranberries and I figured that's why she gets so excited.

OK I'm becoming worried if not irritated.
It's been getting worse and worse. My turtle has been waking me up every day now, 6am splashing the water like crazy, demanding breakfast. If I come close to the tank or raise my hand, he will almost jump out. Now he bangs his head against the tank wall, really forceful, with his jaws open as if he wanted to bite me. But I'm 2 meters away from him ! Has he gone crazy ? I feed him every 2 days... It's getting stressful for me because it looks like a battle of the minds. kind of psycho-pressure. lol.
