You can use turtle jello shots for treats and or main food source.
If you want to use it as a main food source put Romaine lettuce, green leaf lettuce, mustard leaves, collared green, and leaves of raidish and use water.
And if you want to use it as a treat you can throw in some fruit or even make the jello shot out of pure fruit ( Apple, mangos, blueberries, pears, strawberries and figs) But only give that to them 1-2 a month.
Always use fresh fruit and vegetables

You can use cuttlebone just chop it into cubes (without the hard backing) and throw it in there.
Or you can buy a calcium power at any pet store same with cuttlebone.

You can also try Rep-Cal Calcium (phosphorus-free).

I've said this before, but this is the best idea ever. My little Squirt eats so good now. It makes a huge batch, so you can't beat the price for the amount, and you can rest assured they are getting what they need. I put an extremely small amount of tuna in my last batch and he stll gobbled it up.

I made these yesterday and tried them, yesterday he just picked of the pellety bits but today he practically inhaled the whole thing and it didn't have any pellets on it! Thumbs up to this recipe, although when I was making this I was totally grossed out by the puree and couldn't imagine anyone (or anything) eating it but I'm happy that he loves it.

I made these the other day, our turtle loves them. He would never eat his veggies only sometimes fruit and really only wanted to eat his pellets, now he is getting adequate veggies and not just protein. Thanks for posting this.

My turtles have always loved watercress, so that could be added to the Jello, but uncooked. This year I threw a couple of chinese cabbage leaves in one day and was surprised that they disappeared almost immediately, even the thick white stalks. After that, I gave it regularly and they haven't tired of it, so that's another ingredient to put in the recipe.
