I'm really sorry to hear you lost her. When I had to bury one of mine, I found a place where there would be a minimum of animals around. You need to bury her really deep so she can't be dug up. I'm assuming the ground is really hard there now, so that might be difficult...Again, I'm really sorry for your loss.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear of it! It's very hard to lose one especially when you've known her for so long. You have my sympathies.

I think what Marisa said is correct about what to do. If the ground is frozen perhaps you can soften it with some warm water. I don't have any experience with frozen earth because I'm in Texas where that never happens.

I've lost two pets who were very good, long time members of the family. We found it helpful to have a little ceremony when we buried them in the back yard. It's comforting now for us to know that they are there. Of course, every person is different and it might be different for you than it was for us. You should do whatever seems right for you.

Yeah, thanks a lot everybody, the earth IS really hard right now, and its hard to find some soil, its either snow or ice. However im still thinking of a quiet place without animals.. Ill get back to you when i can think of a place
