novroz, that's amazing! She seems so calm and well-mannered. :)

@Melvira thx :) yeah she is so calm whenever I fed her even thought she looks so eager when she sees me carrying the food. But my other turtle, Kroten, does the opposite thing...she still bites me tho the food is quite long.

@Ranger be careful, different turtles different behaviour ;)
I was feeding her with cuttlebone.

I hand feed lettuce to Zipper. I'll hold it in the water a bit and she'll bite off bits at a time. It's fun when she bites it but doesn't cut it all the way through and I can pull her around a bit in the water. :)

@Ranger if he doesn't like cuttlebone, what are you feeding her as her calsium suplemen?

@Seano hahaha it's fun being bitten? ah I wish I can say the same thing when Kroten bites me

Turtlekeeper48, I have the same problem with Sid. My mom taught her to be handfed so now she begs for it. :? I put the food in her tank and it just falls around her head and she splashes like crazy. I'm trying to teach her to follow my finger to the food so she stops being such a spaz, but then she just tries to nip my finger through the glass because now "finger=where-the-food-is-at".

On the other hand, Korma is very calm about feeding (except when she got carrots today). My husband brags about handfeeding her. She eats very daintily compared to Sid.

lol I've never been bitten by her. I guess I should have said when she bites the lettuce and doesn't cut it all the way through. :) That's what I pull her around with.

Ah...I see ;) yeah that is fun, I like doing it too

Kroten once bit me so eagerly and took away a bit of my skin. I'm trying hard to teach her to be like Kame....but Just like people, they have opposite behaviour.
