hola, my nameless 2 in. turtle has eaten all of the plants i bought. i guess i was over feeding him like 4-5 times too much, so putting him on a diet of about 10 reptomin baby pellets a day, i took it down a notch, a big notch, and put in some cheap 4$ "umbrella plant" from petsmart, and within 2 days, that little christian crusader ate them all. can i just buy him plants with reptomin baby pelets a day, cut the pellets down to 5.

Feed him as much pellets as would fit inside his head if it were hollow. Not sure about the type of plant you fed him but most of us here feed our turtles anacharis, horn wort, water hyacinthi. Aquatic plants are good for your turtle but to make things easier you can feed him fresh greens like collard greens, kale, endives, red leaf lettuce, dandelion.

Except for the summer months when they're outside and have water hyacinth, duckweed, etc. in the tanks, I don't feed my turtles a steady diet of aquatic plants, I rotate with other veggies. It's cheaper and they get more variety.
