My turtles usually pick off the rosey reds one by one, I'll plop in about 5 or so and they'll last about 2 months before disappearing. But the last minnows I put in have been in there so long they are now having babies....just thought it was a funny little tid-bit.

That's nice - you won't have to buy more minnows in the future! Same thing happened at our place. Right now there are probably 100 pretty good sized minnows in our pond. We started with a dozen. I don't know whether Spot ever eats them or not - it's hard to tell with so many whether any are missing.

yea my turtle only eats the guppies that are so stressed from the travel from store to tank they dont last long, and he picks those that dont swim fast.

lazy turtle lol

but its good they are breeding, i hope mine breed, like spotsmama said, dont need to buy anymore!

i put about 14 rose red mino in my 180 gallon last week my 2 little guys are getting plenty of exercise I think they got 1 or 2 hard to tell cant count em big tank
