Feeding and Nutrition :: feeder fish (i'm back!)

You don't have to. My fish just eat what is on the bottom of the tank and they have survived for over 4 months now.

fish usually help out alot with the turtles waste. IMO dont feed them. your just going to add more mess to the tank. besides they are most likely eating the turts leftovers.

My turtle (lacking in interest of my fish) and my fish both eat at the same time. I don't put in a special food, he just nips at the floating turtle pellets until my turt gulps them all down. I assume also, that the fish eats the bottom bits and pieces too.

Cim - Ever -- The fish will eat what ever is left over and anything else that the turtles don't eat and the tiny pieces that get by them. I have two guppies, the remainder of 12 and they have been one tank for 6 months. They seem to be frisky and alert and I have been waiting for them to disappear at any time.

at this point, i dont think my fish are going to last anymore, shemp in on the hunt lol.

also, what can i put in the tank that the turtles wont eat..or will leave alone for a little while? (and should they decide to eat it, they wont be harmed)

i have tried snails but they are messy and can cause problems...

how about a ghost shrimp? or a non agressive fish?

Your turtle is pretty much going to eat anything you put in the tank. You could get a big pleco maybe.
