Read through that link on feeding.
You don't have to buy anything exotic or outrageously expensive for your turtle. I buy a small bag of mixed organic greens for my turtles weekly ( I buy about $0.40 worth a week) and give them whatever veggies I'm eating (like carrots or squash) so long as it's healthy for them. Stay away from veggies like spinach with high oxalic acid contents.
The key to healthy turtles is variety. Feed as many pellets as would fit in their hollow heads every other day and feed veggies daily. Stop feeding other proteins immediately. Occasionally you can give a treat like feeder fish but I'd hold off for now and just focus on getting their diets on the right track.
