Feeding and Nutrition :: Feeder fish

I have a couple of rosie reds that I put into Squirts tank two weeks ago. I'd like them to stay alive so she can eat them whenever she pleases. Do I need to feed them anything or are they eating little left over pieces of her pellets? I haven't had any die since I put them in. Please any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

i have a roie red in my tank that just eats anything that hits the bottom, if the turtle doest eat it the fish will lol so u dont rlly have to worry

I can't wait until I get everything done with my turtle so I can relax and get him some fish.

They eat the natural turtle waste in the tank, just like they would if they lived in the wild..

I do not believe that turtles naturally eat their waste in the wild---they would keep foraging for food in other places. Captive turtles have no where to go but move around their tanks. Being opportunistic eaters and liking smelly foods, if that's all they can find, they'll eat it.

Hey Marisa i believe they were talking about what to feed the fish to keep them alive not the turtle

I've had four feeder fish in my tank for about a month now, and I don't feed them any fish food at all. My turtle seems to like them better as friends than food. She even shares her pellets with them when I feed her, haha. I guess they're just going to be there for a long time as her friends =]
