Hi,
I Just bought a RES a few weeks ago, and his name is Raph(dont really know if he is a boy or not lol). His shell is 1 1/2 in up and down and about 2 inches across. I am feeding him ReptoMin Baby(mini floating food sticks) 2 to 3 sticks twice a day.
Now my question is since he is so small can he eat anything other then the food sticks? like can I give him a little bit of veggies or "meat" I read someone fed little pieces of shrimp? Also He doesn't beg at all. he normally flys to the bottom of the tank if we walk anywhere near him. thanks for your advice!

You can offer veggies, most hatchlings don't show interest in veggies. You can offer red or green leaf lettuce, some carrot shreds, anacharis. Meat should only be offered as a treat about once a month. And don't offer sticks that day. Meat is really high in protein, and if you offer it too often your turtle can get pyramiding.
