Feeding and Nutrition :: erratic eating habits

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Pop's eating habits have changed abruptly. He usually eats pellets every other day. Ocasionally I give him boiled chicken, fruit, an earthworm from the garden or an aquatic plant. He has never been intersted in any of the commonly suggested greens. He is a rescue so I don't know how old he is, but he is mature. I have had him for a year.
Two weeks ago I was cooking stew and gave him some raw beef. He wolfed it down. Ever since then, he doesn't seem as interested in the pellets. I've compensated for that with chicken. He seems to be acting normally otherwise.
Any input???

He's holding out for the good stuff. Make boiled chicken a very rare treat and never offer raw or processed meat. If he's healthy, he can go for a few days without pellets.

So you think I should let him sweat it out for a few days and then give him his normal pellets?

Yes, but you can still offer veggies. That should be a huge part of his diet.

Any way to entice him into eating veggies? He has never shown any interest.

Some soak it in tuna water, some have been using the jello-shot recipe. Just give it time, your turtle will cave in :)
