I saw it at my LFS. Looked rather cool. Will turtle eat that? Im thinking of getting 1 to lower my nitrates. Its rather expensive though. At $4 each

Yes your turtles will eat moss balls. Mine do. The pretty cool thing about moss balls is even when your turtle tears them up they create a nice green bedding on the bottom of the tank that adds a pretty cool realistic look.

fresh is right, the turtle will tear it up but it just spreads across the bottom and looks cool, plus I believe it can grow from those tiny pieces if you have the right water quality
