I bought some Red cabbage and threw some in Rangers tank, well he ate it! First vegetable he has eaten ever. But I was wondering is the cabbage healthy for him? Or should I keep on trying to get him to eat romaine?

Many RES are attracted to red-colored food. Red cabbage, however, isn't the best kind of veggie to give, especially as a regular offering (contains goitrogens, which can inhibit the absorption of iodine if fed on a regular basis). Have you tried red-leaf lettuce?

Yeah a while back didn't like it though, I'll give it another try whenever I get to buy some. But man this really sucks I wish he would eat the romaine like he ate the red cabbage.
