I heard it is important for turtles to eat live fish.. so i bought like 20 minnows for my 125 gallon tank with a 4 year old female res and a baby res turtle.. i bought them from petsmart.. now ive heard about fish and parasites.. so is it more beneficial to give my turtles minnows and have a chance of parasites or is it rare? im kinda confused if i made a bad decision to put live fish or not. please let me know your opinions on feeding live fish like guppies and minnows or to not feed them at all? thanks .. also my tanks cycling (new tank) its been cloudy for over a week and a bit .. how long does it take loL! i bought laguna bio booster today..

You can safely keep RES without giving them live fish. I don't like the quality of pet-store feeder fish (the conditions never look good) and it's too much effort to set up a breeding tank. That's just my opinion, many people here have fish with their RES without incident.
