Hi I read you can feed your red ear slider earth worms, crickets. How many crickets or earth worms can I feed my turtlle daily to make sure it got enough to eat? Any suggestions?

I know they need more than worms and crickets, I was asking how many of crickets and how many worms to make sure it not too many? You know for example 4 worms a day or something like that.

Usually a Keeper would do pellets 1 day, Veggies/Feeder Fish/Feeder Insects the next, then back to Pellets the next day and veggies/etc. the next day to keep them healthy. Also it depends on the size of the turtle you are feeding. I would say for a small turtle 2 crickets would be good, for a medium sized turtle maybe like 5 crickets and for a large turtle maybe up to 10 crickets easy. make sure they are not wild caught crickets because they can carry pesticide on them from gardens and fields people sprey down and just have not died yet. after the turtle eats the pesticide covered cricket the turtle will most likely die. Just because they are in your house does not mean they have not been spreyed a day or two before. a Cricket can go a LONG way before that poison does the job. and that usually goes for ANY insect in the wild. Only feed store bought insects.
