Feeding and Nutrition :: Supplements intended for human consumption - any good?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Can I use some things like Vitamins and Shark Liver Oil to inject to my turtle's food, or is it rather dangerous?

First thing that comes to my mind is the dose (eg. one pill has 500units of Vitamin, whereas a turtle can absorb only 30units).
Is there any guide to that?

I don't have anything specific on the site regarding dosage, but a well varied diet should be enough. A phosphorus free calcium supplement is sometimes recommended.

I have alwasy wondered the same thing. I think it would be too risky to give to such a small animal tho even at a full grown size RES the dosage may be too much.
