Feeding and Nutrition :: He ate it whole!

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have seen crocs and birds swallow fish whole down the gullet, but my turtle? He just got a rosy by the head and slurp, gulp, it went down whole! He is now chasing the rest of them, obviously he likes sushi. Has anyone else seen a hatching swallow a rosy like this? He seems to be fine, so I guess he must have gotton it down, without a hitch.

Zeke wouldn't eat his fish in front of me....well....he couldn't catch them....he tried awful hard...but next morning ALL 6 were gone. So in the future, I know only to put one or two in his take! The little Piggy! :)

My Walnut, though not a hacthling, does the same thing! She absolutely loves the taste of sushi...

But there was one! She made a friend with a little Rosy, we named him/her Daweeda. {don't ask XD} Sadly Daweeda died from unknown causes, we found him/her topside... Walnut was devasted.

That is very odd but cute. Walnut is a darling name for a turtle too.
