Equipment Review and Discussion :: Need Stand for 36 x 18 breeder

I need a stand for my 36 x 18 breeder tank. I just got the tank a few days ago and can't seem to find a stand anywhere. Does anyone know of any good websites or places to try? I tried local pet stores like petsmart and petco. I got the tank at a really nice price. They were selling them for a dollar a gallon.

Go to Craigslist.com they have everything on there, and you just put in your location and you might be able to get something in your area.

I've looked. They're got a lot of tanks and such, but I can't find just stands

That's a 40 gallon breeder tank so you need to find a stand for that size. It's a fairly common size tank, I would think Petco or Petsmart would have one. I made mine out of 2"x4" wood.

The shipping cost would be real high on a stand. Making one yourself seems like a popular choice for a tank of that size, I think it's worth considering. A very sturdy table made of solid wood (not particle board) is also an option, but I would check local pickups first, like Craigslist, ebay or freecycle. Good luck!
