Equipment Review and Discussion :: NEW TANK

Various accessories and equipment discussed here.

Breigh is the only one here that i know here who uses those in tank backgrounds. They look great, but I'm sure it will require occasional cleaning. Slime, algae have a tendency to grow on such tank decorations.

I'd look into driftwood and corkbark for your tank. Both can make the tank look very natural.

You can hold off on the above tank basking area, though that extra water would be nice for them :)

Thanks.

I tried asking the maintenace people, but I think they are afraid to give me an answer.

I vote for an above tank basking area. Not one that covers the whole tank but maybe one in the middle with access on both sides. That way they have loads of space to swim and you don't have to worry about adding anything to the tank itself.

Any decent pet store whould have a good selection of tank heaters. Ask somebody working there. Or you could always get one online.

Cute iguana! Surprised you found him wondering around loose in NY. Are you trying to locate his owner?

ha ha! That must've been cool to watch. Their skin is tougher than ours so a brief swim in the chlorinated pool shouldn't bother them much. :)
