Well I just got one of those floating islands , It sounded great while I was reading the packet .

I see that my Turtle is having a hard time getting on top of it . Well I really only had it for a few hours and it seem my turtle gave up trying to get on . So it kinda just floats around it taking in the lighting , which is does it have the same effect while in the water ?

So should I try some little rocks to help him climb but takes swimming room or Someone else has a idea ?

Thank you ^.^

Basking (drying off and absorbing UV) is extremely important. Here are some of the minimum requirements: www.redearslider.com/basking.html

Any small rocks or gravel should not be used in a tank with RES. Fortunately it's quite easy to get a good one setup for your tank, like a ZooMed Turtle Dock or some corkbark. See if you can return or exchange the one you bought.
