I understand what you mean by dock going into the water, I had the same problem too whenever my turtle get on there, the whole dock will sink into a water(my turtle wasn't even 3" back then), I was very dissatisfied with it and exchange to another one, which was doing better, but I had to get another new one after few months or so because they just don't last long

Sorry for not responding right away. I read earlier posts and decided not to worry about it and haven't been back to read addtl. comments. My medium dock does not have a ramp like the one posted. If you cut off the bottom 2/3 of the ramp, that's what I have--just about an inch in the water. They can get up on it, but I've never seen them actually do it. I have seen them hang on the ramp like they're doing chin ups, resting for the big climb I guess. I'll go back to the pet shop and look at another. Thanks for the pic and all your help and comments.

I returned the dock and got another one. The new one is more like the pic and so much better. Thanks everyone.
