I just picked up a small one of these bulbs today, to try out in my Above tank basking area for my painted turtle an my miss map. Has anyone tried these bulbs before?

Ah ok, just making sure :D A lot of people see full spectrum and think that it provides UVB. I'm not sure if it was this bulb specifically, but i used to use a similar bulb for heat before i got the MVB i'm using now. It worked fine, although i'm not sure it's really any better than a regular incandescent bulb. It's not like it's super expensive though, and the "full spectrum" light might be good for their general mood or something.

not sure i know full spectrum will bring out their color more has soemthingt o do with the pigments reacting to the Neodymium or somethin like that that the bulbs are painted with.

I do know thatc ompared to my other 50watt bulb this one is deffinetly getting hotter quicker.
I can feel the diffrence just moving my hand in close.

when it comes to UVB if it doesn't say on the box that it does it I wont get it, this one says on the box speciifcly what it has an if you wanta UVB gives 2 recomindations of the brand's own bulbs.
With mine I m actualy using 2 diffrent type. One is liek a flroessent bulb, the other is a ceramic style coil type uvb.
