My filter just came today, and I installed it. However, the flow of the water is very slow, and there is like only a little water coming out. I've tried to adjust the flow, but still no luck. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you.

Is there a lever that controls the flow? I'm not familiar with the 280, though a lot of filters allow you to adjust the intake flow.

Today, I was changing water for my tank, and turned the filter off. I turned it back on after chaning the water and now its back to that problem again. It seems like the flow of the water is very slow, and there is only a little water coming out. Last time I just ignored it and waited for a few hours, the flow became stronger and there were lots of water coming out. But this time, its been like 6 hours and its still like this. I wonder if this would happen everytime I restart it. Anyone had the same experience? I bought this on Ebay, and its unreturnable. I wonder if the ones you brought from the store are different or is it just me?

I had a similar issue with my AquaClear. It also hangs to the side and the water level in the tank wasn't as high as it should have been for a fish tank. So priming will always be an issue, you can pour some water into the filter to help it out.

I've tried pouring water in the filter to help, but it didn't. I tried raising by water level higher and it seems to help a little bit. But my water level is already pretty high, if I pour more water in, the dock is gonna hit the cover. I already sent an email to Marineland. I read the instruction in and it says I need a receipt or a proof to get a repair or replace. I bought it on Ebay, and I dont have those. I hope they can help me out.
