The siphon is here!
We don't need it right now since the FX5 is keeping the water crystal clear, but I do know that partial changes will still be needed from time to time.
The brass adapter works pretty well on our faucet....except the one they gave me has a bit of a flat spot along with tread, which makes it difficult to screw on and causes some water to squirt off the back side.

You might want to try a different washer. When I had to use my brass adaptor, I would have to take out the washer.

We have to take the washers out of the brass adaptor for it to fit.

I have the aqueon one and I think its great. I read somewhere that the aqueon has stronger fittings, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with the python either.

Water changes are so easy now

The python gives you both plastic (useless) and brass fittings. Once you use a brass fitting from the vendor or from the hardware store I don't think there'd be much of a difference.

I don't have both so I can't really compare. I just remember reading a review where the guy owned both and compared them. He said the aqueon was way better. What sealed the deal for me was that the aqueon was $20 cheaper ahaha.

Yeah I bought mine 15 years ago... python was the only choice. It's lasted 15 years and going strong so I continue to recommend it. The way things are made these days it seems rare to find a product that makes it 15 weeks sometimes yet alone 15 years.
