Why do you think she's having a hard time? Is it the incline, grip or something else?

There's no real ramp that sticks down into the water, so it's like when she used to try to get on her Zoomed dock from the wrong end. LOL She puts her arms up on it and stretches her neck as far as she can to gain some leverage and get up there. And then when she finally gets up there the whole thing wobbles like she's on a surfboard.

We're going to make an attempt at a homemade dock.
I just spent nearly 2 hours at Lowe's getting supplies.
My Dad read all 28 pages of the basking area thread on this board so that he could get some ideas.
We shall see...

Looking forward to it! I have a PVC/tile platform if you need any information on it :)

It turned out perfect!
We were up really late working on it, but it was well worth it as Bowser is happily basking right now. :)
We used 3/4 inch PVC pipe, 4 90 degree elbows, 4 split 90's for the top (picture a cube without the bottom attached, also used egg crate with shelf liner for padding and more egg crate for the ramp with zip ties to secure it.
We might get some indoor/outdoor carpet to use instead of the shelf liner....not so sure if the liner can handle the heat.
The whole time we were at Lowe's we couldn't find the egg crate, asked multiple people including a manager and they said they didn't carry it. We were going to go with plexiglass and just as they were cutting it the manager found us and said he found something that might work for us....he led us to the egg crate! LOL! And it was labeled "white egg crate"

Photos coming soon...
