Anyone have any ideas on how to keep the water intake tube safely connected? My turtle has a horrible habit of arranging everything in her tank - and it seems that lately her favorite past time is to rub her shell on the water intake tube (while I'm not home) and therefore knock it off. I come back to the filter (Fluval 306) running but no water flowing since the tube is lying in the bottom of the tank.....

Would getting longer hose and just let the hose be under water as well work? She's in a 45 gal breeder (water about 5 inches from top to allow for basking)

I think there are 2 methods to try here:

A PVC pipe with holes drilled into them (sort of a reverse spray bar) or a vinyl sleeve over the intake tube (not the grill).
