Oh No, hardware stores, especially the small ones, are full of gadgets and gizmos! I love shopping in them! Most times, I know what I need, and just get it, but sometimes, I'll just wander around, looking at stuff and thinking, "will this work in the kids habitat?".......
A good hardware store is a paradise for finding unexpected things. I like to shop in them and just wander around myself. I've found that the staff can sometimes be quite knowledgable as well.
