I have a visitherm stealth heater for a couple of months now. It works great and keeps the temp steady. It keeps making a small clicking/popping noise every so often. Is this normal?

I've never heard any noises coming from mine. But then again I've never really tried to listen as it's kind of noisy around the turtle tanks with all the pumps/filters going. I'd imagine that it's the heating mechanism turning off and on.

That's what I was thinking too, but I just want to be sure. Thanks for the response. :)

The only heater I've used that gave off clicking noises had an indicator light, and I could hear a faint clicking noise when it went on and off. Stealths, as I remember, don't have indicator lights, and I never had one that made a noise. Are you sure it's the heater making the noise?

Yup, I'm positive that it's the heater. It happens quite often. But, as you said, I can't tell if its because it's going on and off because it has no indicator light.
