I just got a Tetra 40i in tank filter, and I love it! It's amazingly quiet, and I've only had it for a day, but it seems to be working.

Did anyone have good/bad experiences with this filter that I should be aware of?

I'm not a big fan of internal filters for turtle tanks because you can only fill the tank up so far.

They also take up valuable swimming space, lack media options and spill out their gunk if they lose power :(.

I just recently bought the 40i and I can hear the motor. It is pretty noticeable, previously I had the 10i and it is completely silent.

Do you have the same issue with the 40i?
