By 50 watt stealth heater was out of water while on for about 20 seconds...will it continue to work? Also, it is rated for 15 gallons, will it be ok in 18 gallons of water? Thanks.

yes it will still work and as for useing it in a bigger tank it should be ok but it mostlikely won't get the water temp up to the temp you have it set for but it could just make sure you have a therm. in there to make sure you keep it at the right temp.

Thanks..I believe it is still working and it will be about 2 gallons over the suggested gallon use if the above basking area pans out. I have a thermometer I just don't want to overkill the heater.
