ok i bought a new basking spot for little nickky and it smells like plastic but i just wanted to know can anything leak out of the product like the paint or something. can it be poisonous or something. i havent put the basking spot in his tank cuz of the smell. any suggestions

ok its called Turtle Lands it says that its non-toxic if ingested??

well if it says its non-toxic it should be ok. I'm not familiar with that brand, maybe someone else is.

I've never heard of it.. does it say aquarium safe?

it says for turtle frogs and amphibians and non-toxic and non-porrous if ingested but nothing if aquarium safe.

ahhhh is it Turtle Landing?? a corner basking dock??
I bought 2 of those.. cost me like $14 each at Petsmart.. both of them broke when I tried to put the suction cups on... although they'll be safe, be careful when putting them in.. they break very easily and leave sharp little edible pieces in the tank. I found out the hard way.
