That's what I have along with a UVA-heat bulb. I have no problems with lack of UVB symptoms but my tank also sits in my screened in lanai and gets plenty of sun too so...

Jay, it looks like they're closely related to the other site that we've banned.. shipping sick/dead turtles. If you look at their 'habitat' page, you'll see they really don't care about how the animals are kept.

I will check it out, I just recieved a turtle from turtleshack [not reputable].com. A YBS. It was perfectly fine and healthy, it looked like they took quite a bit of care in shipping it. You might also look at another recent thread labeled buy one baby RES get 2 free because that is a turtleshack [not reputable].com deal. My turtle even had it's own personal attendant during shipping and this is the person that handed it to me. They sat in the front seat beside the driver and held the turtle the whole way. I did see that they sell those little cheap .5 gallon turtle oasis's which aren't even fit for a hatchling but the care sheet says that they are only good for up to a month and states the 10gal per inch of carapace rule. As for sick and dead turtle shipments, the attendant cam into my house and waited for me to open the box and add to my habitat so if it would have been noticably sick or dead the attendant would have beared the full force of my rage

I would say yes, that is what I own. It's not to be used as a basking or heat lamp but beside of a basking and heat lamp. Mine is way dimmer and not half as warm as my reptisun full spectrum basking lamp. It could have been running for 48 hours straight and you can still touch it, try that with the basking lamp and you'll be picking blisters.

So if your using it for basking better get a higher wattage. I can't imagine how much it would be, the 26w 5.0 was $20 from petsmart here.

@Jenaero if you banned them for their habitats then your probably right, I did see the little crappy palm tree habitats for sale. But they do also have a lot of high end items. But as Turtie has realized, they don't sell 4 foot phlorescents and I didn't see anything for a tank bigger than a 55. It seems they only cater to the first few years of the turtles life and have nothing for adult sized turtles.

Yeah, the biggest tank they sell is a 20gal and they mislead you to believe that you can keep an aquatic turtle in a medium terrarium enclosure. They also sell the tiny lagoon habitats that don't work at any age. Your right, it seems they don't care much about where there turtles end up

yes that clamp lamp will work if your not using it for basking. Yes it will work if your going to have a seperate light for basking and are only using it to supplement UVB, if you only want one clamp lamp and one bulb then no get a higher wattage because that one puts off very little heat.

my question is if its good enoghf for the UVB bulb OR should i order another ceramic clamp lamp for that.

That one is fine if your just going to use the 5.0 26w for UVB supplement, that means if you are still going to have another clamp lamp with a heat/basking bulb. If you just want one clamp lamp and one bulb then you need a higher wattage than the 5.0 because it is not very warm. If you are going to use one bulb and one clamp lamp for everything then you need a clamp lamp with a bigger shiny reflector not that narrow pale white one. If you just use it for the 5.0 UVB bulb and use a seperate reflector clamp lamp with a heat/basking bulb then you will be fine.
