Equipment Review and Discussion :: XP4 Media Setup, I need help

Hey everyone, I just recently purchased an XP4 for my 75 gallon. I'm setting everything up for it now but I have a question about the media.

THere's four baskets in the XP4, the bottom one has the foam pads and the top one has the micro pad and bio-chem zorb. Now for the two middle baskets I'm going to fill the one basket with the ceramic stars .. what should I put in the other basket??

Also, the baskets have the middle divider piece..can I put media on top of the divider also??

you could put one of those ammonia removing pillows

I'd put in a basket of ceramic rings or another one of stars.

I think 2 baskets of bio media is hte way to go as well. If you wish to do something else in that part, you could also add a bag of acivated charcol. The bio sorb is part charcol, but I think it purifies more than clarifies.

You can also add some filter floss its great to trap detirus

I'd ditch the micro pad (it clogs easily for some turtle keepers) and add some extra foam or rings as others have suggested.

Fill the two empty baskets with more biomedia, either the ceramic rings or stars. You can't have enough biomedia in a filter.
