Has anyone done it before? I noticed today that the output isnt near as strong as before. i cleaned it and checked the hoses for clogs and it didnt help at all. Tomorrow im going to take it all apart and try and see whats going on with it and was wondering what i should look out for. Im not used to working on something so delicate.

tubes arent bent. i shortened them up a little thinking it may help to have more of a direct path through the tubes and it didnt help. its only a couple years old i think.

I haven't had a problem with mine yet (coming up 2 years in January). Have you ever cleaned the impeller? I can hear it can be a bit of a pain to put back together, but it could be that the impeller is gunked up and needs a good cleaning.

Dan-07 If there is no kinks in the hoses, all gaskets are not leaking, and nothing is stopping up the intake or outflow it has to be the impeller. It may be worn down, broken or misaligned. Some noise is a clue. You may want to check the impeller.

i pulled the pump unit off and found 2 pieces of my filter media stuck in the impeller. removed them thinking that was the problem and cleaned it all up but it hasnt helped.
