about how long does it take to set up? on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it?

other then it is hard to slip the tubing on, it's easy as pie... I wish there was an easier way and maybe calling rena and asking them will yield a good result?

BTW i have those pictures comming i promise.

i found that, and ya that works for me, i'm just saying on setup it was a pain. I serioulsy was bleading for my turtles.

did you see the guppy fry mkoby? pretty funny i have 9 now.. and counting. My mom is betting that another guppy is about to have babies.

Except today i woke up and i counted 10 or 11, and one seems VERY pregnant. To bad no one lives real close... IDK i'll figure something out.

I'm digging this topic back up because I'd rather not create a new one.

So, today I installed my XP3, followed the instructions to the "T" and it was doing its job. But, right now the water is fluxuation, the out put is really high and then it gets really weak and then regains output...sometimes it completely stops and re-starts up again.

Is this normal, is it just getting the air out of the system or am I doing something horribly wrong?

Now the input hose completely ran dry so I turned it off. I made sure that those clamps are secure on the hoses (the hoses are only 1.5 inches on) I'm not sure ,but if the baskets are loose on top of each other will it cause this problem?

Running dry you don't want. It's good thing that you turned it off. If it were me, I'd follow the directions for restarting after a cleaning. Empty the filter of all water, reattach the hoses and let it fill with water. Then plug it in. If it doesn't fill with water, you may need to fill the hoses first by pouring water in the top of the output tube.
