General Care Discussion :: What's Wrong With My Turtle's Shell?

The shell is just soft in the first two plates behind her neck. I give her cuttle bone for calcium. I will post more pictures tommorow of the dry shell. Her eyes are fine, no other problems, she swims around all day when I put her back into the tank in the morning. Thanks for all the information.

Not really, Tenodera. Do you mean in the first pic on the left side of the head? If so, it does look perhaps a bit larger, but there is no definitive lump that I can see. Without the turtle's head being extended more to really see the side, it just looks like it's the way the turtle is positioned.

No lumps, it's more reccessed if anything on the first two plates behind her head.

Tenodera was talking about a possible abcess on your turtle's cheek, I think, not lumps on the shell.
