thanks everyone!! yes the plants are real and turtle friendly.. some of them have little bite marks lol!! but yea.. the filter is kinda crappy!!! i got it in a set thingy.. but when i upgrade his tank im getting new GOOD filters

and i got him for his patterns.. they are so neato

I stupidly bought a turtle kit from petsmart and it came with that filter, i don't even use it in my 10 gallon fish/plant tank... it barely works, I upgraded soon after buying it

You should take out the gravel. I was the one that said that filter sucks (because I have it). There's barely any suction and doesn't make a difference when it's on or off.

i updated my tank yes the big stack of rocks is very stable, i did alot of tests on it lol. and i removed the gravel. well.. ikinda.. i got little glasses and buried the plants in them, but buried them in gravel and stone. i think it will be fine, wall-e cant get into them. ill post pics later..but other than that the environment didnt change too much.. but i put a bunch of river rocks in the other corner so he can redecorate if he wants

edit: i also wanted to say, even though its impossible to tell at this age.. i think its a boy

I like the glass idea. I'd still be a little nervous about the gravel. Mine are so destructive that those glasses wouldn't stand a change in my tank.

i wanted plastic cups, but this is all i have for now lol. and wall-e is a good boy never tries to escape or cause trouble

but my mom thinks he lonely and i should get a second turtle thats when the trouble begins... lol

wall-e doesnt go into the glass, but once i get sand, ill use that to bury the plants

Oh no, don't get another turtle...Turtles are VERY solitary, If Wall-E doesn't like him, Wall-e might kill him. Plus, you'd spend a double the amount of cash on him.

Maybe put some big river rocks in on top of the gravel since he still has access to the gravel...

It hasn't been ever recorded that turtles in captive care have ever killed one another. Maybe it has, but most wont go that far.

Yea, untsmurf's turtle killed another turtle before...

I had a friend with a RES that killed two of it's tankmates...

my cousin had to separate his two turtles because the bigger one attacked the smaller one.. but it was twice its size maybe? im not sure

i dont want another one.. i love wall-e

Explain to your mom they are like beta fish, and they fight over territory and if they don't get along. My mom understood when I said that.
