How often do you have to add water to you aquarium? My new tank lost about an inch over night and I have found no signs of leaks. Is this normal?

An inch overnight sounds like a lot. Are you sure there's not a leak? I top mine off about once week because it loses an inch or two a week.

i searched everywhere again and no leak. Maybe I didn't fill the filter up all the way and it sucked it up??? hope so!

Depends on the size and if you have a cover.

My water evaporates pretty fast too, although probably because I don't have a lid and the room they are in is pretty warm.

I'd say I lose about an inch every two or three days at least! Overnight sounds a little excessive but depending on the conditions of the ventilation and the temperature of the air it sounds plausible.

I have been thinking about it all day and I think the suction cup i was using as a water line got moved. I raised the floating dock some and I forgot. Just like a new turtle owner..HAHAHA

good news. Just keep an eye on it. I took some tape and made a HIGH and LOW water mark so it helps keep an eye on things.

Totally normal! I have to add water to the tank all the time due to evaporation.
