What's that white stuff behind him in the third pic?

That was part of my old above tank basking dock. But it was changed the next day, due to him not feeling safe enought to come out of the water to bask. So now i put the whole basking dock slightly in the water so he can swim in it and go up on a rock. As you can see in the other pictures

And i dont usualy pick him up with the spoon
I just had to spoon because i was puting water contioner in and he was trying to crawl onto it
