With some time spent in a good habitat and with a good diet, I think you'll see some really positive changes in that shell (it will probably look worse before it gets better). You might try getting some of that Vitashell out of the seam (line in between the scutes) with moistened q-tips if she objects to the toothbrush. It would be gentler.
