I've always thought they were the cutest lil things. The only thing stopping me from getting one is how darn big they get. What are your plans for the future with this cute little garbage disposal?

They can grow BIG lol and I've thought about that. My relatives in Arizona have like ten sulcatas and russian tortoises. They prefer big torts so when Mups gets too big to be with me, she/he will be sent to Arizona to live with my grammies

Glad you've thought ahead. You really think you'll be able to part with him? I know I couldn't.

Yea, it's gonna be hard but I have in the back of mind that Mups is truly a once in a lifetime experience taking care of him and watching him eat and chomp, lol, its too funny
But he'll be better and happier there and I can do week visits

I don't want to bring you down, but what is going to happen to them when your grandmother is no longer around to care for them? They'll probably outlive you as well.

My family has taken care of torts five generations before lol, I'm the only one with aquatic turtles.
All my relatives are in Arizona and all together, they have about 60 sulcatas, russians, hermanns and greeks. So when my gramma cannot take care of her what she calls "kids that listen," we not need to worry, we're all very experienced and sure enough proud.

And gramma does a real good job with her torts. Suzie and Emera are sisters, and they hatched in grammas backyard when she was 15.

Beautiful pictures... so tempting. :) (I'll have to just keep telling myself to remember the size everytime I look at the pics)
