hey dillon. i suppose muddy would be the best "mimic", but unfortunately that's not possible because we need to run filters.
i saw a post where someone put something underneath their tank, like an aquarium background, that looked like a "floor" so the turtle couldn't see through the glass. i've not tried it, but they claimed it helped the turt realize where the bottom is.
