Feeding and Nutrition :: Feeding Adult African Sidenecks...

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Ok, So until recently I would look around and see general layouts of what to feed an aquatic turtle... then I did actually find the sticky in this forum where people said what they feed them and when (per week schedule)...

my question is, for two adult African Sideneck turtles, would there be any of the already posted food schedules that would work for me? and if not would any of you be able to set up a relative schedule for me?

from what I've been reading for the size of the turtles I'm getting is usually half pellets and something else (usually lettuce of some sort) each day, spaced with different treats or other maintinence foods every once in a while...

I dunno, I don't even have my turtles yet, I'm just trying to be as prepared as possible for when I do get them...

Thanks...

You might want to check out some of the care information on these kinds of turtles at http://www.austinsturtlepage.com . I don't think they have the same care and feeding as RES.

Definitely do a little research on your own (the above site is very good, there are others) and find out what the diet requirements (and general care if you don't know it) for African Sideneck turtles are, just to be on the safe side. Most people on this forum don't own this species of turtle.
