Habitat - Indoor :: Is there a heater that works in a Sterlite storage container

Over Christmas my daughter received 2 RES from her mom. Her mom bought a Sterlite storage containers. It is wider than it is deep. The turtles love it. They have a nice basking area setup.

My question is there a heater that can be used without concern of it melting the container?

I use a stealth heater in a rubbermaid storage bin that I set up for my newest turtle and it works wonderfully.

Thanks Meg. I have looked at some stealth heaters but I wasn't sure. I wouldn't dare ask Walmart people.

The stealth heaters are very safe. You can also buy a heater guard for extra protection if you're worried.

i have a regular old aquarium heater in mine and nothings melting

Unless you've got a really high wattage heater and it's laying right on the plastic, any submersible heat should be OK.
